PTA Book Award

Today at a special assembly I received a book because I am always caring and helpful. It is such a cool book because it is really two books!!

Book Character Day

Today was our Book Character Day.  Everyone in our class dressed up and bought their books to school. We had fun reading lots of stories today. I dressed up as a caterpillar and I brought my book called ‘The Hungry Caterpillar'.

I Can Publish my Own Work.

Our poem this week was about the beach. We wrote acrostic poems about the beach and published our work on Kidpix.

Reading Eggs

We have been using Reading Eggs at Reading time to help us learn to read.  We work our way through the lessons and learn lots of new things.

“I have earned lots of certificates and heaps of eggs. It is fun, I like the driving tests best.”

I Am Learning My Basic Facts

We have been learning our basic facts. We can play some fun games to help us get faster. We really like the green ‘Slide’ game on the ipad.

We can play by ourselves or with some friends. The quickest person to slide the answer to the middle wins. The person who uses all their numbers up first is the winner. We can play other games on our class page on the computer.

"The fingers help me work out the answer. I am getting faster."

I Am Learning To Write Longer Stories

We are learning to write more sentences. We need to put a capital letter at the beginning of our sentence a full stop at the end.

"I can write better now. My stories are longer."
